History

Polishing Metals Since 1946 Budding Polishing & Metal Finishing is currently owned & operated by Todd Kuipers, who has worked for the business since 1983. Todd succeeded his father Warren Kuipers who retired in 2004 after many years of ownership, during which the company moved to its current Alsip, Illinois location.

For the past 25 years, the Kuipers Family has offered various metal finishing services while maintaining a focus for stainless steel. The emphasis on stainless steel is a reflection of the company's initial foundation. Over 60 years ago, Al Budding opened shop on Western Avenue in Chicago, where he practiced the art of stainless steel finishing. Al Budding continued his learned trade until his retirement. Through the years, this early vision has been bridged from the Budding Family to the Kuipers Family, where today Todd & his employees sustain its history and provide high quality customized results in the metal polishing & finishing industry.
